Sautéed Apples

Don't have time to make a whole pie? Try this recipe instead!

Serves 8 

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter

  • 4 large tart apples, peeled, sliced 1/4 inch thick

  • 1/2 cup cold water

  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 

Directions

1. Melt butter in large saucepan on medium heat. Add apples, cook and stir for 6 to 7 minutes.

2. In a separate bowl, combine water and cornstarch and stir until cornstarch is dissolved. Then add to apples.

3. Stir in brown sugar and cinnamon.

4. Bring to boil, stir occasionally. Serve warm.
